Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Tighten those Chin Straps

What I see tells me the oilfield services market will be softer than I previously expected over the short to medium term,” said Jeff Miller, chairman, president and CEO.

“We will of course take action to address this near term softness, and we remain fully committed to our shareholder returns framework,” Miller added.

We were told that tariffs would be paid by foreign countries, but looks like we would pay it from our wallets. We were told “files” would be released, but now we are told that there are no such files. We were told that the price of every day items would go down, but it has been steadily increasing over the past six months. I am still hoping that our leaders at the helm are smart 4D chess players who know what they are doing and will make our country great again.

@1jh I thought we bringing these jobs back to Merica. What happened. Do you think for a moment Corporate America gives two cents about the American workers. It fundamentally comes down to Gains and losses. Gains in their pockets losses in your jobs.

@1gs Can’t speak for other groups but I work in Completions Technology and they employ a fair number of contractors in India - design engineers, design technicians, drafters, etc.

A lot of negative people here that like to add arms and legs onto any little quote. If you are so bitter and twisted whilst being employed by Halliburton, perhaps it’s time for you to move on!

Will the layers of mid to upper management be “evaluated” to increase share holder return?
