They are also talking about cancelling the project and using the money on another project
Overall this is a good thing. One less plane than will ki-l civilians. The delay results in more money for the MIC but that's less money being used to ki-l civilians. In general, more delays mean less money for ki-ling.
So Boeing lied about the timeframe they could start delivering an F47 and probably the costs too, so they could win the program.
As @cv+1k0tf2htd said, its not true.
It was a preemptive 2 year delay for the STL strike.
Honestly, its a nice strategy
I dont think that's the flex you think it is.
That means Boeing is lying and just making excuses to be 2 years behind.
I mean, it tracks, but it would be semi-valid if the engine was still in development.

Mainstream Media --- is plainly Stսpid:
To say nothing about these internet click bate sites.
Boeing hasn’t designed a new fighter since the late 80s. They will not perform well. If the T-7 trainer is indicative, expect lots of cost overruns too.
They're not the only one to do this. When LM won the Orion capsule contract, I believe they immediately said it would be behind schedule.
