@eh Pick me!
I can go 3 years without working. So Mr LOL I want the severance. If they offered a buyout tomorrow I’d take it
Hey Mr. LOL.....Some of us can afford to take a year off. The only reason I haven't pulled the plug is not wanting to leave severance on the table.
Lol,, rooting to get laid off so you're unemployed for a year. You're the bright ones.
@ft totally agree with this statement. If you hate your job that badly then LEAVE!
People should post that on Spark, so we know who to let go.
Everyone should be interviewing now. Getting laid off in say December then getting a few months of severance in a dog labor market means you are sc--wed macro-level. There are still companies hiring… for now… but I would never ever recommend someone stay at a job they are confident they will lose just for severance with the looming cuts to Medicaid, tarrifs, etc.
3 months of paid severance followed by a half year making your state’s meager unemployment cap, then being desperately hooked into a substantial paycut is what ends up happening far too often. Just look at LinkedIn of those cut in 2008 or 2022.
Right with you on this one!
