@vp OPCOs' employee tenure is much higher than corporate because we are the engine of success that drives AEP. The V10 engine you have benefited from driving the company's success will soon be a V8 and in a few more years a V6 and within a decade a 4 banger because you get what you deserve and economy is all you can afford with the leadership we are forced to endure.

We ancients know more than you do because we are the keepers of institutional knowledge. We have our own records written on paper that do not vanish into electronic devices never to be seen again. We don't trust hard drives. That is why we have filing cabinets. You can't manipulate the data, if you don't have access to it. Think of air gapped main frames but old school.

There's no way 24% of AEP employees have been here over 40 years. Total BS.
They have the top 100 tenured employees listed on AEPnow and the 100th/100th guy is at 44 years.

While your comment about retirements coming that may help is most likely true - can you please say where you got those statistics about 48% of AEP employees having been with the company for more than 30 years? I work at the tower and there is no way there is anywhere near that many people that are over 30 years. Even the subset people that have been around "forever" are probably averaging 25 max. To get to 48% there would have to be a much higher percentage of people with tenure that long in other areas - and I guess that could be true - but I'm just very curious as to how your numbers were calculated or if there is something on AEPNow, etc.

With the aging work force, pending retirements will probably alleviate the need for more layoffs. Approximately 48% of AEP employees have been with the company more than 30 years. Half of that percentage has been with AEP over 40 years. That is why stakeholders resent the "special treatment" of shareholders by been here a minute leadership.
