Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Is Dell Performance-Managing You Out? Let’s Talk About It.

At Dell, layoffs don’t always look like layoffs. These days, it’s all about:
   •   “Reorgs”
   •   “Realignments”
   •   And the classic: “We’re evolving the org to better support the business”

But here’s what that often means in real life:
   •   Your role shifts for no clear reason
   •   You get looped into vague “coaching” sessions
   •   Your work is suddenly “not strategic enough”
   •   The meetings get colder
   •   The feedback gets fuzzier
   •   And slowly, you start to realize… the writing’s on the wall

Are you seeing these signs?
Has it happened to you or someone on your team?
Let’s stop pretending we don’t see what’s happening.

About coaching, yes, mgrs are forced to select a % of their team on "coaching" plans. I refused to do it to my team if they didn't need any specific coaching.

Almost everyone I work with is miserable just hanging on, waiting for a package. The energy’s gone. This place isn’t what it used to be, and we all feel it.

Isn't that just the status quo from mgmt these days anyway?

I have enough of my co workers who thinks its all fine and pretend to work while sitting quiet following stupid orders.

seriously I start to think it is some kind of social experiment, I can't imagine some people can be so stupid.. on the other side why would a smart person work for dell?

Exactly what happened to me, exactly.
I’m going of my own choice, Dell has been really tough the last 3 years (for me) and it could have took my mental health, but I didn’t (and wouldn’t) let it.

Resigning early Sept unless I am lucky enough to be laid off.
