Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Still here, and not particularly happy about it

Not trying to take a jab at those who lost their jobs. It’s just that I’ve gone numb at this point.

Assume you will be rifed with the target 65 percent offshoring (at least) and the exponentially increasing use of AI. To do otherwise is d-mb.

Survived only 4 rounds of RIFS those are rookie numbers. Try battle hardened by 56 RIF rounds. Before this gig got my number punched in double digits I stopped counting and caring. Any corporate gig gonna be the same just different colors and logo.

@aq
Maybe the cheating and affairs will be revealed on social media like the mo--n CEO that was busted on the kiss cam with the HR person who slept her way to the top just being there 9 months. Cha ching to the wife of the CEO!

today was my last day as an NCM

i survived 3-4 RIFS- and this time… he-l no. i reisigned

i work for patients. not shareholders

and the pay cut is worth it

my co workers and immediate to regional Supervisors made it tough to go

i hope my coworkers and bosses get out as well. UHC at Home has no value for the patients- we are forced to tick boxes over keeping patients safe with the level
of care they need

this was sent to me by a friend outside if the company. https://www.sunlightreportinsurance.com/about

shell game with fake PR

I’m getting to the point where I too have this feeling. I’m grateful to have an income but man do they push me so much that I want to say “the he-l with it” and quit.

100% agree with @bq - the culture has been sh-t for a very long time. the execs have always been doublefaced + they still lie a lot. grifters...

same here. it's 'survivor guilt syndrome' i guess... there’s this nagging feeling that I have to prove I deserve to still be here, I need to work twice as hard to justify it (to who? myself? a--holes on top that caused all of this??). On top of that, there’s this discomfort around moving forward when others didn’t get that chance... The team feels emptier, and it’s hard to just go on like everything’s normal. I need the $$$ so i am greatful in that repsect, but it’s complicated.

The quarterly bloodletting has benn going on for 16 years now that I have seen. Culture has been the same in my experience the entire time.

Most of the MN campused businesses stink to work at, or pay terribly. Time to move unfortunately.

Go get another job or sleep with the boss. There are so many affairs at Optum, it’s often thought required to get a promotion.

Understandable with the constant changes and riffs. There is always a shadow or dark cloud above each employee waiting for the axe to fall without warning. It's a sad environment and nothing like it was years ago when we had a culture movement, positivity and employee rights.
