Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

IBEW in a strong position

Notice what happened after the IBEW contract was agreed upon?

  • Layoffs happened immediately after
  • Colbert and the Late Show franchise cancelled

Coincidence? We report you decide

Um 13% over three years means tech layoffs 1212 won't tell you about. Seriously - are there still people left that trust IBEW ? 4.03g has been dumped on over 25 years now. Put pressure on any surviving pension techs to hit the road - wbz is offering buyouts to techs ( Boston globe fresh story) any word on new buyout offer in NYC???

Nobody's walking at CBS. It's the best contract because the company wanted a wrap B4 the big sale. 30% fewer workers means a 5% raise at the third year is a win-win, but not for the union. IBEW is a not-so-well disguised extortion ring.

Best contract since the 70s. They knew we would walk if they didn't give us 13 percent over 3 years.
