Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Any idea how many people they’re looking to lay off in total?

I’m so sorry for everyone affected, especially those who really need the job right now. I wish you all the best of luck - may you find good opportunities very soon.

Got news for you, don't underestimate their greed, it's no secret they could care less about loyalty to their employees, if they could fire everyone and run Wal-Mart with a skeleton crew from Bentonville that's exactly what they will do. All while in the meantime keeping up that false image about being America all the way. :) They are worse than any used car salesmen, once upon a time they may have cared but now, used car salesmen. Without foreign imports Wal-Mart would be out of business tomorrow. It's nothing more than a giant cheap distribution center with groceries. There's nothing spectacular about what they do.

Be careful here. It’s not as much as from where and how many they are going to cut now, but, where are they in their corporate overarching goal for cuts this fiscal year. Most informed analysts agree the cutting won’t be done until perhaps closer to the end of October. It’s pretty safe to say there’s still troubled waters ahead.
