Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Ladies fired me

I am happy that my time at intel comes to an end. It was a misery taking pay cuts, delayed hikes and constant fear. I will never ever look back to this company again. Employees who are still part of intel with 20+ years of intel experience must look themselves in the mirror. You could contest in elections directly.

After 20 years at Intel, I look in the mirror everyday and say to myself:

  • You've kept your expenses low. You did not succumb to lifestyle creep with each raise/promo. You've had fun, but you didn't buy the RVs and Razors to be like your buddies.
  • You've maximized your income and are paid more than you would be for this job anywhere else (MTE)
  • You maxed out your investments and invested aggressively; doubling your retirement goal years ago
  • After almost 30 years in the semiconductor industry, you've kept a year's worth of living expenses in a HYSA because you know things can go south quick.
  • You enjoy your job, but if Intel calls your number you could take a job at Costco until retirement and not suffer at all.
  • You hoped for the best, but you planned for the worst. You did good, my friend.

Looks like the Quitter Troll is starting to process that he got laid off from his imaginary stint at Intel.

It's ok, tomorrow he will imagine he is someone else who got laid off and post about that too.

Psychosis is the gift that keeps on giving.

Waaaah bi--h and complain. Loyalty to any company is misplaced. Always have eyes open for future possibilities.

What does this mean? "You could contest in elections directly"?
