Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Does management have a clue how pi---d off the ENTIRE HC10 workforce is?

Does management have a clue how pi---d off every single person in HC10 is? I don't know a single employee who isn't beyond pi---d off. Does management realize the problems they have caused, the value they have destroyed, through their actions? What is the value of engaged employees? What is the cost of pi---d off employees? What will it take for them to wake up? I think they know what they are doing but just don't give a damn and are happy to burn the place down as long as they can loot it on their way out.

It takes years to build a reputation but minutes to destroy it. Managment is OWD on burning the reputation of ExxonMobil to the ground.

That’s a negative ghost rider. Management is clueless and doesn’t really care as long as they are getting their payout

Of course management doesn't have a clue. They are locked in their echo chamber with the other HiPos circlej--king each other.

The attempts to "fix the culture" are so pathetic like the GP forum where they talked about someone who is good at remembering the names of people. Yeah that is why everyone is pi---d off ... if only people would remember my name I would be happy. Put your name on your f*cking hard hat if you want someone to know it. Fools.

@a7 LOL naive for anyone to think the Singapore thread is a robust Singapore community discussion. In truth it is just 3-5 trolls cooking up nonsense among themselves, and maybe 10+ of us dropping by infrequently to see how the trolls are embarrassing us.

Imagine the biggest accomplishment in your life is trolling on an anonymous board. I think it’s sadder than being put on PIP.

They always ask us "What are we doing to fix the culture?". Management is as blind and deaf as Hellen Keller flying a jumbo jet to Bangladore

" I am super curious how long you have been with the company, how old you are, and where you are working."

I am 49, 26 YOS, Staff function based on EMHC. I love my job and the company. Not pi---d at all.

They absolutely don’t care: you could call it actively NOT caring.

They see dead wood. And their own monetary gains.

Just keeping hoping what goes around comes around, but not sure it always happens that way. Or, not on a schedule I’d like to see!

It's a sinking ship, I am collecting paycheques for a couple more years and then moving on

I'm HC10, I'm pi---d off with virtually everything the company now does post covid. Glad I'm part of the redundancy program and being paid to leave, the company is in a bad place and continues on the same trajectory.

It's a shell of the company it used to be.

To Mr. Singapore who isn't pi---d off. There is an epic mega thread on this site that would indicate you are alone in your happiness.

No pi---d? Really? I am super curious how long you have been with the company, how old you are, and where you are working. If you don't know what I am talking about then people don't trust you enough to tell you how they really feel.

To those claiming to not currently be pi---d off: give it a couple of years. Some people are slower than others and that is ok. Your time will come of this I am sure.

@OP I'm from the only HC10 in Asia and I'm not pi---d. And I don't think most of my colleagues are. This is just a job and most of us are quiet quitting, collecting a pay check monthly and waiting for the inevitable severance.

Of course this is not a nice feeling, to be in this state of not having things to strive for. It feels like wasting life. After all we were all once told EM only hires the brightest. But this is what the golden handcuff is, isn't it? Staying in EM self-imposed and we are trading time for good money while it last. Quite a few of us have enough to retire, just trying to net a bit more. I don't think many people are pi---d off here.

I laughed out loud when I read a comment on LinkedIn from a well known VP. He was complimenting the choice of another company to put someone in a leadership position who had "significant oil and gas experience" -- clearly a swipe at recent ExxonMobil outside hires.

US Employee here. Speak for yourself OP. Why should I be pi---d?

Favorite recent conversation was a VP complaining about the outside executive hires. He clearly thought it was his turn. Nice to see them turn on each other.
