Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Reorg after reorg

It feels like every few months there’s a new org chart and a fresh round of cuts. Just when you get used to something, it all changes again. Not to mention that more and more work’s heading overseas too. It's starting to be really hard to feel any kind of job security here.

@qk pretty much this cycle. Every new big wig follows the script: makes waves with bad hires, prioritizes short term profitability, tries to instill culture without $. Culture is pay and respect, nobody mf gets it.

Im coming up on 15 years and it's been like that for me basically the entire time. Reorgs>cuts>reorgs>cuts ... every time new exec leaders come into role, they have to leave their mark and prove that they are bringing something better to address the challenges of the business but its all just different words and structures to accomplish the same things that dont actually address the stuff teammates actually care about. Honestly its not that different than whats always going on in most other fin institutions.

Reorg's mean that they don't know what they're doing so they're trying anything to see if it makes a difference.

@OP did you ever feel like you had job security here since February 7, 2019?
