I don't want to be laid off, but I'll be okay with it and severance. But a friend worked for a company that let go of a whole bunch of people and made it so as if they had a choice of accepting new roles (for much lower pay, which means it wasn't really a choice) or walk. No third option. That's something I'm most worried about.
