Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

I wish I would've taken the ISP

I was offered the ISP but didn't accept. I am now regretting my decision. Does anyone else regret not accepting it?

The environment is getting really toxic and everyone is becoming more and more cut throat and heartless. It makes me sick to my stomach - this is not the same Edward Jones it was years ago, the culture has completely changed.

I took the VSP and I seriously fear for my coworkers who turned it down. They are going to be many many layoffs throughout all of 2026. I envision most people who turned down the VSP will be gone by the end of 2026.

How do you recover from this?
2019: Trust the plan!
2020: Trust the plan!
2021: Trust the plan!
2022: Trust the plan!
2023: Trust the plan!
2024: Trust the plan!
2025: Whoops, turns out I didn’t know what I was doing. This is bad, some of you are going to lose your jobs. I take full responsibility for this! (But suffer no consequences)
2026: (Plan still not fixed) Trust the plan!

@ab I regret not taking the VSP and pray that will make another VSP offer.

I think you mean the V(voluntary) SP vs the I(involuntary)SP. I took the VSP after much thought and sleepless nights. Every day I am more at peace with my decision. If you want the ISP speak to your GP. They still have decisions to make to reduce staff and would probably appreciate a volunteer to leave to avoid a tough decision. Handling tough decisions well is certainly not a strong point of the firm.
