Thread regarding Orion Engineered Carbons S.A. layoffs

With the recent announcement of production line reduction at facilities in the U.S. and Europe, job losses impacting several employees are forthcoming. At least 3 hourly positions are expected to be forfeited at their Belpre, OH facility. Other affected facilities are Orange, TX, Kalscheren, Germany, and Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa plants, with undetermined job losses expected at each. Despite union efforts to retain affected employees as well as upcoming retirements allowing the possibility of retention through attrition, the company is resolute to lower the headcount in the facilities.
