Why are coverage plans typically designed only for junior or mid-level roles, while similar arrangements for SVPs and Directors are rarely discussed or documented? Senior leaders are also subject to taking leave, retiring, or transitioning—shouldn’t continuity be ensured at all levels of the organization

easy, they don’t do any of the actual work most of the time LOL don’t need a brain surgeon to tell someone else to sit in another useless meeting so they can just delegate whatever comes up
because only seniors are the ones on the table to play. others are nothing
As a C15, my business requires me to have a succession plan in place. Not sure where you’re getting this information.
