Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Did anybody who joined recently get laid off?

From the people I know who were affected, the one with the shortest tenure has been here five years.

I thought about applying for a job, then decided not to, and might have been laid off anyway, but who knows?

Not the same thing, but we had to rescind an offer to someone who was supposed to start next month.

Sincerely hope he didn’t quit his old job or made plans to relocate. Makes me sick to my stomach.

I personally/thru Linkedin know of at least 5 engineers in Etch whose "tenures" here spanned 2mo to 1y. LBT's claim of culling middle management bloat seems to be BS.

Know someone with less than a year, young, and highly qualified.

A lot of guys let go in RA were there three years or less. Came in with Gelsinger. I know one who wasn't even here for a year. His group needed the help too...

I know of someone less than a year and he moved to join.

He said that he should have known better, as he left family for the job.

They are laying off people with tenure and replacing them with cheaper labor (often GEO hires) in the same breath. Fk this sh---y company
