Hybrid Morale

As if waiting so long to find out if you will continue on with your role isn’t draining enough, the thought of being pressured as a hybrid associate to continue to show up in office during all of this feels absolutely NOT human centered. Imagine sitting around the office while yourself or your respected colleagues open up your ISP email. You know the firm is going to lose and has already lost some amazing talent. I actually like coming in office and feel it has been beneficial in many ways, but during this time, it should not feel forced on associates. I have talked at length with HBAs who don’t feel as emotionally affected in a daily basis. I have already experienced associates crying and people running off to conference rooms. The way this is handled is so heartless and disgusting. I’m sorry for us all. I truly loved this place.

It is only going to get worse. They are focused on reducing HBAs and will ask everyone to come in 5 days a week next year.

This is a major ongoing issue. Going into the office was leader and team led, and actually valuable in the past. Forcing people in to sit alone on zoom, fighting for privacy while you have to deal with this constant barrage of emotion is terrible. I can only presume it’s purposeful to drive more people away to help fill their targets.

As an HBA I got the inpersonal email that did not even have my name on it for the VSP. I knew it was coming but it still shocked me. I took a few hours off to gather myself and that is not normally me. It was just so surreal to have a company treat me and others the way they did. The whole offer, that they may not have to honor was also cr-ppy. Fortunately, they honored all 552 in this most recent go around. Now we wait for our release date so that we know when we can start applying elsewhere. Human center it was not. PP and her cronies do not give a cr-p about anybody but themselves. The branches will suffer when all of the tenured, experienced people leave. They had the audacity to hire brand new people off the streets. They cannot tell me this was not cost savings. The was an easy way to get rid of people who have 3,4 and 5 weeks of vacation and are on the higher end of the pay scale in their pay grade. Not a cost cutting measure my a-s. What a crock and PP says all this cr-p with a straight face. PP and ol Davey Boy and the rest of the ELT just counting their money and not caring about the clients or the branches or anybody for that matter. I know many people who wanted to take the offer but were not in a financial position to if they lost their benefits.

It better not be an email- I’m expecting a call. As face to face as possible to tell me my fate. Also- if I were hybrid- I wouldn’t come in that last week of August so I could cry at home.

Good reminder that maybe it feels different as an HBA. I’ll try to have more empathy with my hybrid teammates.

I can tell you our floor is a lot less populated since the VSP’s were all unanimously “accepted”. Talk about heartless: we who took the VSP already KNOW we are out of a job, but we don’t know when we can start applying to other jobs. The way this has been handled is appalling. PP should be ashamed of herself. Oh wait, she’s just rolling around happily in her $29 million she made last year. 😡

Out in the field here. Cannot imagine what it must be like there, day to day. As bad as it looks from the branches - and it looks disgustingly horrendous - posts like yours infuriate me to the point I wish PP would step down and take all of the ELT and about 3/4 of the GPs with her.
