Thread regarding GE Aviation layoffs

Hooksett

Time to speak freely. Grab a old device and wipe it clean or spend $40 and buy new. Go to your local watering hole or gym, even target! Hop on the net there and post freely. Turn off when done.

GE su-ks anymore. Squeezing the lemon dry. They are digging deep into AI now and I'm sure that won't be to any employees benefit.

Here's the thing. I've been with Hooksett for a number of years now. I don't want a Union......I don't like them. But.....we were told we were "on pattern" with Lynn and they couldn't produce in their contract where it states if you're at top of MBW you get a lump sum. People were pretty vocal about it on all shifts, he-l the plant manager didn't even show up for 3rd shift's meeting or so I was told. When the union votes on a contract and it states "GWI: GENERAL WAGE INCREASE" they're not voting for lump sums....they're voting for a wage increase. Hooksett we were lied to, no matter how you look at it.
If we were not on pattern before, then they lied to us. If we were on pattern with a lump sum and they are giving the 5% raise then we are off pattern. It's as simple as that.
They just admitted they go on and off pattern whenever the he-l they want.
We don't have a voice at the table and have always relied on "transparency"....I think corporate and management have lost track of what that word actually means. We even got an email stating "in the next couple months we'll look at the market based wage"....the email also said we're getting the 5% raise....this year. No mention of the next 3 years. Again, if we're on pattern then why wasn't it stated we'd get the next 3 raises as well??
We can't rely on Lynn to bargain. He-l, they voted to give GE a 30 day notice before a strike. Literally the only bargaining power they have left....and they voted it away.
I'll close with this: I don't want a union but I don't want to be left behind when the Union shops members are thriving financially and we're left behind on wage increases.

The Glint survey is a way for the company to judge if they are fooling the masses. It's not anonymous for good reason. They need to pinpoint who the complainers are and figure out ways to work you out of the system.

Lol. Great way to post anonymously! You know like our glint survey. Maybe make a burner Google account and leave a review as well?
