Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Stop bashing BB!

The guy got rid of Moni Moni, Tireman, and some other losers.

He dragged out RTO far longer than most other big companies, including any in the Twin Cities.

Compensation is great and he's willing to pay for performance.

He knows what his job is - break up a dysfunctional company into 5 or 6 focused businesses.

And he works for a 50 percent discount compared to the guy at SOLV.

The guy is a breath of fresh air!

BB is an old school CEO. Primary mantra for 3M is to cut costs, meet quarterly targets and squeeze whatever little juice is left in this lemon. He will be gone in 2-3 years and 3M will be in a worse place for his successor to fix!

Wow look at all the thumbs down, pushing 40. Does Kearney still have a contract that hasn't run out from Tireman days? Maybe BB has told them to flog posters who are critical of him. Tireman did that. The OP has almost 70 thumbs up.

A key indicator of poor leadership is keeping MM aka Smurphy in power as CDO/CIO.

@OP you must be joking as he is no better than those mentioned. RTO is not needed, jobs have been completed for years without being in person, just a control thing with all these companies which now sadly includes 3M.

Alternate take: the guy came out of retirement because of greed.

He's terrible for the company, intentionally driving away top talent because he's too cheap to pay for skills and too cheap to pay for severance so he strips benefits from all of us.

He only gets half of what Brian gets from SOLV because he's a dollar bin CEO -- he has no ideas, no plans, and he's not capable of running a company like 3M successfully.
