Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Will i get unemployment in Oregon if I quit?

Can I apply for unemployment if I quit, because this is torturing, I survived first round but what about second and third? I probably got heart attack before end of the year. Will Oregon check with Intel if I quit?

Why do this when you can just kick back, work at a slow pace, maybe stay home a lot...and get paid ...until they fire you or lay you off with package and benefits? Think man!

You can apply. Intel might not even contest it. You may have to appeal if they do. Since they are laying off so many people and this CPM BS has been going on for almost three years it isnt impossible that unemployment be approved. It has happened. Unsafety or poor working conditions are what they are looking for. Ask Google and look for what Oregon calls a qualifying reason to get unemployment if you quit.

If you're at the point that you are considering quitting, why be so stressed about getting laid off? Just quiet quit and take the money until they fire you or give you a package. Either way, it's just a job you'll recover from it. Best of luck!

@a8 You can qualify for unemployment if you were laid off. You don’t get unemployment if you quit.

I was part of the 2024 November layoff butchery and applied for unemployment a few months later. Approved and still looking for another job but grateful for the monetary boost.

If what you say is true then stop going in. Go to a physiatrist and get "Mental Health" leave. That way you can continue to get paid. Fu-k um. They pushed you to your limit. They owe it to you!
