Layoffs yesterday

Am I misunderstanding some posts from yesterday or were there more layoffs?

@1r3 You can’t say that you morally don’t agree with something and then refer to people speaking out about it “victims”.

@1r3 You say "work harder" but why would people be working harder for a company that doesn't value the employees they employed? It doesn't matter as the result remains the same whether you're one of the best or someone who barely worked. That's the thing with layoffs is it doesn't matter which side of the spectrum you're on. There's no way of "earning your spot" to stay with the company as none of us actually had a say in who has been let go. Even the managers haven't had any input in who stays or goes. Performance was never how they picked who was let go.

You can go ahead and work harder to try to earn a non-existent spot. But the rest of us are smart enough to know how layoffs go and no matter how much work you put in at the end of it it truly doesn't matter nor will it keep your position.

They went offshoring because they can pay them little to nothing compared to what US wages would be. It has nothing to do with work ethic. And when you already have a company in financial distress (and showing no signs of that changing) that's what ends up happening to pay them less than what they actually are worth.

I feel for those who have been let go and morally I don’t agree but at what point do you take accountability over what you can control. I constantly see victims here. I’ve had great people be let go but I’ve also seen resource su-kers let go too. Spend less time here and more timing controlling what you can that might save your job actually working. Lastly the company is different, the job is the job, you keep ranting about things that aren’t going to change which makes me feel like you just want things handed to you. Go work for it and see what happens. Adjust to what is or don’t that’s your choice but complaining isn’t going to make them care more. Maybe they’re off shoring because those people work hard, are grateful, and get the jobs done? In what job do you get to throw a temper tantrum and get what you want because of how you feel?

Not Medsol, but Cross Country had layoffs today in a few departments and there was no warning whatsoever. Directors, managers, etc impacted blindsided

@h8 Entitled?? No one asked to be in this position with a failing company. This wasn't on anyone's bucket list when they were hired. No one asked to be having to pick up the pieces of a company ran by complete mo--ns with absolutely no regard for any of the employees. No one asked to be burnt out, treated like a number/trash, etc.

Where is your morality/compassion? This shouldn't even be up for debate on how this company has treated the people employed here. This website is to allow people a place to speak - when you clearly have a company trying to silence people from doing so. You speak, you get let go. You bring up concerns/issues - terminated. This is a safe place for people to be able to vent, seek advice, have a safe space where people don't feel completely alone in a sh-t hole of a company.

Entitled 🙄 get out of here with that BS. It's not asking for too much for respect, understanding, communication, and compassion from a company. That should be the bare minimum.

@dk you all sound like a bunch of entitled cry-babies. Grow up. If you’re unhappy, leave. If you want to stay, dig your heels in and stfu. Coming to this garbage site to whine to each other is only bringing your own selves down.

@cm - if you truly believe that you, take off the rose colored glasses and stop drinking the kool-aid. This company is in trouble and nobody is safe from being the next “disgruntled ex”. They do not care about us as humans. They preach transparency, but yet they aren’t actually doing it. The micromanaging and constant policy changing makes it hard to do my job. But you believe what you want. And if you’re happy.. good for you. Maybe you should move on to a different site.

@cm seriously? If that’s what you think, you are on the wrong site.

@cm it's 100% true. They integrated two companies together...it will continue as they integrate Host. Have some compassion.

If all the layoff claims on here were true, there would be zero employees left. Beginning to think most of you on here are disgruntled ex’s who can’t let go.

@c8 wait until you see the new KPIs for recruiters they will be firing a ton of them next

I think there have been lay offs weekly for the last 2 weeks at least. (Don’t quote me). Some have been small and under radar (like 10-20). So makes one nervous to come in tomorrow because they are due. But yet we continue to hire recruiters?? 🤔.
