Get that email over lunch? Three consecutive months of Hunger Games-style layoffs and they want employees to vote for Med Sol in the annual “Best of Omaha” poll???
I’m utterly aghast. I mean, that is the most tone-deaf ask EVER.

Oof. They are the farthest away from being the "Best in Omaha." I don't think people are blind at this point with that is happening within the company. Honestly, I believe many are routing an escape plan and keeping plans they have under wraps so they aren't terminated before a plan is developed.
No one is THAT blind. Even the su-kups who were hooraying in the chats have gone quiet and commenting on LinkedIn posts about applying to other positions. I truly believe that people are just gathering a plan which is why not much "noise" is being made within the company and that they are just going along with each day until it's their last. Would be hard to deny the state of the company for the last 3 years - even though they are trying to make it look fantastic. People see through the act.
The company no longer has a favorable reputation in the Omaha community and the healthcare staffing industry as a whole.
And in case anyone wasn’t aware, yes, the lay offs are still happening. I don’t think it was tone deaf. I think it was purposeful of the Exec team to keep those who are still blinded full of false hope in hopes they’ll stick around.
