and suddenly it hit me how completely toxic my relationship with this job has been for months. The Intel drama took over our lives entirely. Yeah, I’m one of those who let it happen. And I’m a complete fool for it.

OP, do you see how many people want you to stuff thay genie back into the lamp and run on toxic fumes again? The only thing “foolish” about your revelation is “cast not your pearls before swine”
Everyone needs some time off to get away from work and work pressures, else your health will be the one that has to pay. But don't abuse it, cause finding a job is no longer easy especially with AI going through resumes and doing being your first interviewer.
