Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Any idea how many people have actually quit because of the RTO?

The job market is rough right now, so I imagine most people are hanging on to their jobs however they can. For many, the commute is a huge drain on both time and money, and some simply can’t comply, even if they wanted to. Still, it feels like fewer people have quit than they were hoping for. It seems the plan to get rid of the masses cheaply hasn’t quite worked out.

Have of a department left due to RTO, and got jobs within the bank that are 100% remote.

I work in Enterprise Technology. They're clearly making yet another push towards RTO with more focus on punitive measures if the policy isn't being followed. Seems clear to me this is a push towards forcing people to either leave on their own or be fired with cause.

Regarding the job market, I guess it depends on what your skills are and what group you work in. In my field the job market is wide open and I could find a job fairly easily.

@OP It's not just RTO. They knowingly create an environment of ridiculousness while proclaiming "Purpose" and "Care". They don't seem to realize how they lose credibility and force others to not take them seriously with every breath. I haven't ever seen a group of people being paid to be completely ineffective as I have them and I'm not talking about teammates.
