Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

What’s ahead after July 9?

With the tariff pause ending on the 9th, I can’t help but feel uneasy. So much of what we sell is sourced from Asia. How is the company planning to absorb the cost increases? Could this mean another round of layoffs? We’ve already been through multiple cuts, and morale still hasn’t recovered. I’m trying to stay hopeful, but it’s hard not to wonder if we’re next. Are leadership teams even discussing this internally? I just wish there were more transparency. People are anxious, and it feels like we’re bracing for impact without any real answers.

I mean trust it as much as you want, but last townhall they said we have such a diverse supplier group that this isn’t going to hurt us. They also said we will actually gain market share as we will be in a better position, and I can see that. “At home” just filed for bankruptcy and closed a ton of stores, so that traffic will probably come to us or amazon
