Just an update - since RTO in March, I have had two formal in person meetings, both 1x1 when my boss came to my office.
We have all of these beautifully equipped conference room which are seldom used.
My customer and team meetings are all on Team or Zoom.
I burn more gas.

Wait people have 1x1’s? I go in everyday, sit in a cube with a headset on and have meetings over Zoom. I have yet to see ONE person of leadership walk the aisles or the hallways. Directors/Sr Directors seem to not have to abide by the RTO. meanwhile, I make less when I factor in the amount I spend on gas, tolls and wear and tear on my car. I don’t even speak to anyone in the office. No one speaks. It’s like a prison.
Just don't forget: you can solve any work issue during a 2 min chat in the WC )))
My manager is 2 time zones away and my
team is on 3 different continents. Haven't had a single in person meeting with anyone on my team since 2017.
I force my manager to have an in person 1x1. I’ve deliberately made them schedule it when we are both in. Otherwise, what’s the point?!?!?
My manger is in India. I'll never have a personal 1x1. Not that I care. Tick a box exercise
