Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

How many of you had your manager give you a high review only to have it reduced many levels up?

I made some of the most serious impact of my professional career as recognized by my direct manager only to have money taken from pocket many levels above. Insulting behavior organizationally. Now I am being forced to take my earned compensation spiritually.

@OP 100% due to how much merit bonus money they want to give out or keep for themselves. Your levels 1-5 have a percentage of merit increase assigned to them. For many, it doesn’t matter what you do or how hard you work. You get a C on the score card and good luck getting a 1% pay increase. But hey, we gotta have that golf tournament, Braves stadium and private jets.

This 100% happens. Not only do ratings change but our new CTO also reduced merit and AIP that was submitted by managers.

If you’re delusional enough to believe that what the OP describes doesn’t happen at Truist you certainly deserve to work for this stellar institution.

There is a simple solution: find a new job, why even consider staying after that slap in the face

@b8 How could someone that many levels above have any direct knowledge? Doesn't that more speak to the lack of leadership through the chain for someone out of ignorance to "know better" than a manager directly involved?

The way you apparently made AI read this thread aloud to you and then take dictation from a very full mouth while you eat at the boot leather buffet is an amazing feat of modern technology. Obviously tonguing the corporate bung has worked for you, congrats.

Likely discrimination at work. File a lawsuit….and do it now!

11 years here - has not happened to me. it sounds awkward, not sure why they are doing it to you but it's not right.
