Thoma Bravo Is in Talks to Acquire Verint Systems

Buyout firm Thoma Bravo is in talks to acquire Verint Systems Inc., a maker of call center software, according to people familiar with the matter.

The merger will be approved to take effect at a certain date. Verint will have at least a 5% layoff in the time after the approval and prior to the merger completion.

They will merge it with Calabrio and cut duplicate roles in the companies to get "synergies".

They are known for thinning the ranks by 15% as a standard in their "playbook", merger or not. Cuts will be coming over the next 6-12 months if this purchase takes place.
