Commuting won’t just be inconvenient, it will be physically impossible for many, and that’s what will drive them away.

As a remote worker, my biggest concern is whether or not I'll ever have the same opportunities as in-person people will. If competing for a new internal role or promotion, the writing is on the wall: If you're remote and not in person, you're going to be unfairly weighted. And because of that, I'm looking elsewhere.
You had to agree to be "Hybrid" and a lot of Hybrids stopped coming in to the office at all.
You Hybrids can stop complaining.
Telecommute and hybrid means you live near the office or are assigned to the office. Permanent remote means you are not assigned to any office. People need to start looking up their employment contract.
That's the idea they want you to quit before they do another lay off and they can save money on severance packages/unemployment benefits.
@an this will make it harder for permanent remote workers to apply to different internal jobs.
They are forcing all hybrid remote workers back into offices. Hybrids are not permanent remotes.
… that’s what they want. You didn’t think the post through, did ya?
Forcing remotes to come in will just push more people to quit
Now you’re starting to get it! 💪
