Severance package is sh-t! They really don’t care.
Less than 1 year - 1 week severance pay
1 - 4 years - 2 weeks
5 - 9 years - 3 weeks
10 - 15 years - 4 weeks
16 - 20 years - 5 weeks
20+ years - 6 weeks
It’s in Reorganization of Work Force policy that you will receive via FedEx
@v5 your post was not helpful. The cost of living is very high. There are plenty of people living frugal as possible and doing their best. Good for you. Sounds like you’re in a better situation than others.
Not condescending, just being real. I've been laid off several times. Just have to live below you means until you have a savings to fall back on.

Remember severance is not required by law, its the company doing it. So be glad for anything.
Kids...save your money every check. bring lunch from home. Drink water. Live cheap until you dont have to
