Thread regarding Sharp Memorial Hospital layoffs

Broken Promise!!

Ever since Chris Howard became CEO, the company started going downhill. Things got even worse after they brought in their CIO. He kept saying ''we’re a family'' & pushed the whole “ONE SHARP” message... then left right after Epic went live...

They ignored the most important stuff -- the actual patient care...

From a strategy angle, it was shaky from the start. “One Sharp” was all about having one EHR for everything, but they never planned a real backup. IT leadership was so locked in on Epic, they lost site of system efficiancy and reliability.

I’m really sorry for everyone who lost their jobs. The Sharp I used to know wouldn’t have done this.

The “Sharp experience” feels gone, all BS now....

Add CHRISTOPHER MCGLONE, from SCMG, to the other “Chris” that breaks promises. Two-faced A--HOLE!

I just applied at UCSD and Sharp yesterday, so while all this was going down, I was literally hitting send on my resume. I had no idea any of this was happening. Looking back, it actually makes sense now and I feel pretty d-mb for not seeing the signs. I hate this. Feels like every day there’s something new and awful happening.

the switch fro Follow-My-Health to Epic was an 'epic' mess. I got billed for appointments I’d already paid for online, and the payments didn’t match the visits. None of my past records were available. The staff weren’t trained well atall (not their fault tho), so no one really knew how to help / It’s better now/ but the rollout should’ve been handled way better.
