I am currently applying for jobs. I wanted to know if DEI groups host events during and after work hours.

DOI, and welcome as long as you keep any “identify as” out of your job.
Don’t bring wokeness to an otherwise healthy workplace. We have lots of opportunities to socialize.
@ae you have to be joking JPMC is still very infected with the DEI woke mind virus. the worst thing to be is a white male applying to the company. as long as you dont fit that criteria you will do fine.

It is good to socialize a little instead of work.
I agree. The people with the negative comments are usually folks with low performance output but love kissing a-s. Therefore, they haven't been laid off. Nevertheless, those people love working, but they start bi--hing about bonuses being too low.
It’s no longer DEI but DOI. We have diversity groups and each one hosts panels and events when there is budget. Probably the most noticeable is the veteran and tech groups. It’s a great culture, but you’re team will have more social events than our DOI groups.
so you are looking to get paid to socialize?
It's just a 30 min or 1 hour call for a speaker to come in and present. They usually cover a variety of topics such as DEI, career development. I don't see how one hour per month on company time is the worst ever. It is good to socialize a little instead of work. I have seen ED and MD join in for pizza or other cr-p at other firms. The fact they don't do this here is astounding.

If you're looking for DEI, this isn't the place. This is a conservative industry and workplace. For that kind of culture, go to a tech company like Google.
You are a mo--n and all fit right in at JPM.
