Lets get back to office, and remotes to be let go soon

Remember, it doesn't matter how much work you actually do. What matters is what you appear to be doing in front of others.
@hp Oh yeah, I forgot. If you go to the cafeteria, make sure to bring your laptop. Have it open with some random SPC charts or a powerpoint up. That way in the off chance your GL walks by, it will look like you're doing something, when in actuality, you're doing nothing.
I don't believe OP ever worked for Intel.
Just go into the office and do nothing. Make sure you don't do nothing for too long at one location though. Do nothing at your cube, the water-cooler, in meetings, the cafeteria, your coworker's cube (bonus points for two people doing nothing) etc. Maybe even do nothing in the fab for a bit. (that's what 2/3's of floor techs do) It helps to do nothing while carrying a notebook or even better, a clipboard, because it gives the appearance of being conscientious and hard working. Critical task? Hahahaha.
plenty of remote VPs & mgrs to trim
Pre Covid I was wasting as much time in the office as I would at home working remote. At least at home I could waste time doing stuff that needed doing.
My guess is the next round of layoffs will be based on their badge tracking attendance. Low hanging fruit for more cuts.
You mean back to the office so that people around won't let you concentrate in the work you're doing? Or they just walk in and distract you from a critical task? Not to mention the waste of personal time you'll have while committing to your desk?
Sure, let's make ourselves slower by implementing all these great ideas that only a boomer could come up with.
@a1
You should understand, it's not about productivity. It's all about control
None of that has any correlation to productivity.
