Stop handing people a dusty binder and calling it onboarding

Training should actually train, not just check a box. And if you're going to promote people into leadership, at least give them the tools to lead. Culture won’t shift if you keep recycling the same habits and hoping for different results. Want less turnover? Equip people to succeed and show them what good leadership actually looks like. It’s not complicated, just consistently ignored.

Narcissistic sociopaths cannot comprehend anything other than their own unearned and undeserved vainglorious self-aggrandizement. They lavishly decorate their offices while the rest of their employees work in a dirty and out of date workspaces. They find excuses to travel and attend events while their employees toil away in anonymity. They obsess over their own success while everything around them becomes an apocalyptic wasteland. They are one of the four horseman of the end of time.

Key characteristics of a narcissistic sociopath:
Grandiose sense of self-importance: They believe they are special and entitled to special treatment.
Lack of empathy: They struggle to understand or care about the feelings of others.
Manipulation and exploitation: They readily use others to achieve their goals, often without regard for the consequences.
Deceitfulness: They may lie, cheat, or steal to get what they want.
Impulsivity and recklessness: They may act without thinking and disregard the safety of themselves and others.
Aggression and hostility: They may become angry or violent when their ego is threatened or when they don't get what they want.
Disregard for social norms: They may break the law or engage in other behaviors that violate social expectations.

Reward failure and punish success paradigm originators.

That reflects the poor people management AEP suffers from. When they don’t invest in training, it’s no surprise they don’t invest in people overall. So much wasted potential.

Out of date binders are the responsibility of the people, who got promoted and if they haven't updated those binders they shouldn't have been promoted and the person promoting them should be demoted.

In order to lead, you have to inspire confidence in your people so they will follow you.

"Culture won’t shift if you keep recycling the same habits and hoping for different results." God I want to shout this from the rooftops. Isn't there a quote somewhere that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing but expecting different results? Well, well...
