Blake wasn’t a good friend of the founders after the first two passed and he was brought back stateside he patiently waited for JMW to retire and started dismantling the company he has no shame
@b7 DQ only had one customer for that product, Harbour energy. Trendsetter must think they have customers, who is going to manufacture the trees for them? The don’t manufacture.
@dv yes that what it says. But it’s only a certain product size, ie Dual bore trees. Mudline trees are being kept by Innovex as they have interest from customers.
@aw trendsetter said they've bought all the innovex subsea tree range
@aw Who are Trendsetter selling the product to? Can’t see them buying a product that they didn’t have a market for. Begs the question as to why we couldn’t sell it, or do we even try?
There will be subsea trees. They have sold the dual bore type. Only have one customer for those and they aren’t drilling until 2029. Still selling mudline trees.
But this does seem to be picking legacy DQ apart piece by piece and selling off.
Bird knew what the merger would do to Dril-Quip and its people. Good fit for Dril-Quip ???? The only one who has benefited from this merger is Bird himself. Corporate Ra-e!
