Someone posted that Twitter employees (software coders) were making $250K+ in salary. No wonder Musk decided to cut half of the employees. Look at what Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink employees product output. They are also software coders and they make around half the salary. Musk knows it takes only 500 to 1000 employees to run a social media site if you have really good software coders. Hence, the reason he brought in engineers from Tesla. People need to stop criticizing Musk and give him the time he needs to turn the company around into a better social media site. The MEDIA is making a big deal out of this cause people are tired of hearing about the real foreign news on what's going on in the world" the economy, war, climate change, food shortage, global division, inflation, mortgage rates, OPEC+, pollution, women rights, minority rights, China, N. Korea, Russia, debt, gas and energy crisis, etc.

@ukn+1jz3G6Kv you could have used a little logic, I’ll give you a clue, “Current valuation or market cap for DASH is $20B, 20% of that is $4B”
Simple search or research on financials could have put my comment down.
At the very least, please read the comments in this site going back 3 years, you will then understand the lack of empathy.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m gainfully employed and on most days care less about 6 digit losses! If you are going to call someone, at least get an education!
Don't worry. Reality is going to hit most people in tech in the West coast (California) as more and more tech companies layoff thousands. Families will need to move to Texas and the pay their is one third Silicon Valley pay for the same job.
SpaceX wanted to pay my husband $35/hr for specialized electrical work in Santa Barbara. He's out of touch with reality.
@OP:
You're jealous because Twitter engineers make more than you.
@Elon Musk's Dad:
Sorry to hear that your day trading from your living-room in your undies occupation didn't turn out as you hoped it would. Maybe you should get a real job instead.
Too bad, so sad.
Overpaid employees. It's no. Surprise they will be cut during a downturn.
People here have no clue. A Director at Twitter makes $1M annual total compensation. People have no idea what Tech pay is, it is insane! As a tech investor, I have hated these elevated compensations driven by tech founders. Just look at Doordash issuing $1.33B in stock based compensation for a year, That’s over 20% of their current valuation paid to tech workers in a year, dilution of investors paying the worker salaries.
Bay area rate. My friend makes that at Nvidia.
I have nothing to do with Twitter. I don't work for them nor do I ever use it. I came to see what was going on with people losing their jobs and I'm already regretting it because of this post.
It screams "I am smarterer than you" and OP doesn't realize that some people just don't like Elon for reasons that have nothing to do with politics or Tesla or any of this other enterprises lol.
So many words and so little clue.
