Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Negative vacation time at Lowes question?

Do the other stores do not allow taking vacation if you’re in the negative?

Let’s say you negative 24 hrs, would you still be permitted to take it?

Company policy allows you to barrow 40 hours into the negative. However, this company is so far out of control it’s outrageous! Virtually All of the experienced, reasonable, and sane store managers are gone. We now have inexperienced children in positions of management. So, it depends on the child’s mood on any given day what will happen!!!

Correct Answer: Yes, for full-time employees, you can go up to -40 hours of vacation and -16 hours of holiday time. However, this is only allowed if you will be back in the positive by the end of the fiscal year (January 31). That being said, some stores may enforce this differently it can be up to the discretion of the ASM and/or SM. So even if the policy allows it your ASM might still deny the time off if you're already in the negative.
