Never is actually the correct answer - he loves ths sht. Tom Krause, the Broadcom former CFO and THE guy behind the VMW acquisition, who now heads the US Treasury placed there by his buddy Musk via Doge... demanded to succeed Hock as CEO within 5 yrs and was told "go f yrself I ain't going nowhere" by Hock so he left to become CEO of Tibco-Citrix the cloud company. That tells you he ain't leavin till the grim reaper retires him.

No plans so far, once the original Hock kicks the bucket. He will ensure another AI model of Hock is in place and will run the company for another 100yrs
