Thread regarding Best Buy layoffs

Good luck with Neal Sample

He doesn’t do much outside of wasteful spending. Any positive comments on the Wags board is Ginger from the board.

Neal thinks he is a comedian. He is obnoxious, not funny.

It is highly distressing seeing so much dislike here about this guy. Anyone got something positive to say about him?

I don’t normally post in threads like this, but silence here would be complicity.

The newly appointed CTO is not the visionary he claims to be. Behind the polished smile and buzzwords lies a man whose loyalties are bought, not earned. His history is riddled with quiet exits, internal fractures, and a consistent pattern: surrounding himself with loyalists over leaders — family, friends, and favors replacing merit, integrity, and experience.

You’re not onboarding innovation. You’re welcoming nepotism in a tailored suit.

If you’ve seen The Godfather Part II, you’ll remember the scene: "I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart." Backstabbing rarely looks like betrayal — until it’s too late. This is your Fredo moment.

The damage may not be visible today. But rot spreads quietly.

Choose carefully who you trust with the keys to your future.

— A concerned observer

Neal knows how to play by media. When he joined Walgreens, he did his best to show to media how precious people were bad, then he continued to emphasize this. Instead of doing his job, he kept blaming people and bringing more useless friends in sr VP, VP snd sr director roles. Then he started to hold expensive parties while company was sinking and even people couldn’t get their bonuses. He called strategic meeting with his friends in one of the luxurious resort, sadly nothing came out of that expensive meeting from him and his friends. He came there to have just fun for two years and then leave. If you Bestbuy people look at Walgreens posts in this platform, you will see many times this was mentioned that he came here just to gave fun in two years and then leave. These messages were after a year he stayed and people saw no effort from him and things got worser. Good luck to you but I am sure he will do the same there. If you look at his history, this is exactly who he is. He came to modernize things, ask him be honest and say what did he do previously in his entire career. We knew this will happen, hope yours will be different experiences.

Neal Sample will offshore in prep for BAD BUY to sell to private equity. Writing is on the wall. Get out before the company sells.

They may want to sell the company too, for one to two years, he will stay, have fun, layoff, bring his closed friends, and then they sell the company
