Thread regarding Twitter layoffs

Help me figure this out

Have all the employees who were slated for layoffs been informed? All 3,700 or whatever the correct number is? Or will this continue over the next few weeks? Also, I saw that one employee suspended Musk's Twitter account before leaving for good. I doubt that person would have done that if they had something to lose. Does this mean that there really is no severance or 60-day notice?

Leon doesnt have a choice
No sensible rich would have overpayed this much to buy something that can be easily replaced.

60 days? That's why CA is a shithole. Move the hq to anywhere else, e.g., TX

The 60 day pay in CA is standard and normal across all corporations. You continue to receive your normal salary and benefits, but do not need come in to work. On top of that, there is severance pay, which is passed on number of years of service, and would be different for everyone.

Some people here a so delusional. Refusing to believe that they are not essential, then threatening to sue for being properly laid off according to California law.

It is called 5 stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. The sooner they get to acceptance stage the better for them, so they can move on with their life. It is over, they can't force Twitter to take them back.

Paid thru February but be cautious. You have to abide by the rules. Be wary of what you say on Social Media and on this comment board. Thelayoff has been removing lots of messages, ostensibly due to their use terms but I suspect a little bit of a protection is involved.

Musk lost $44 billions. He don't wanna lose anymore. Twitter will continue to be slimmed down to about 300 employees max.

You get 60 day pay and benefits per CA law. Consider this a 60-day notice, but you are not being asked to do any actual work.
