Totally invisible exec ; shock ex management consultant out into a role way above his ability , shocking really - but not a suprise …

Line em up - who’s next ? Even the good ones (there are some) surely want to disassociate at this point , only ones I know left are openly working the system and topping up their retirement plans into the axe drops …. Farce of a company and a real shame

At some point, everything becomes a failure upward — promoted and handed golden parachutes only to repeat the cycle of failure and reward elsewhere. It’s maddening and sickening, but hardly a new phenomenon.

Personally, good on him, for Intel, a CFO is the least of the reasons we aren't winning in the market.

He is a failure and should never be allowed to work in this industry in any form ever again. This failure should follow him for rest of his career. He should be accountable for failing.

@d0 I forgot about Granulate! What an acquisition! They somehow convinced Intel to pay for a company that promised doing something that a lot of people have tried before and that proved to be a bad idea time and time again. Genius.

@ak I thought they made modems for cell phones? Or did that get sold off too.

@c3 exactly this. If 18A was cheaper than N2, customers would be lining up to buy our wafers. If Arrow Lake was better than the newest Zen chips, we'd be getting fat bonuses. If our Xeons beat the new threadrippers, same.

The Big 3 failed to halt their decline for 40 years because they built bad cars badly. Intel builds mediocre chips mediocrely.

@cz he bought a bunch of companies that are now written down to 0 such as the $650M acquisition of Granulate.

Any highlights about his time at Intel? Any summary about any relevant decision he made while collecting paychecks? What an incompetent leader...

Knowing how these things work and the impotent inflated nature of the position he was placed there by consultants in exchange for heaven knows and his usefulness expired with the transaction GLTA

Intel's top strategy executive, Safroadu Yeboah-Amankwah

Well there’s your problem right there! Been on since 2020, you mean since intel started to take a nosedive??? Forget CPUs, was the strategy turning intel into little mogadishu??? Intel founders turning in their grave what has become of this american company and titan of industry. RIP

@aa he was fired.

The strategy should be obvious.
Make better products.
You don’t need a CSO for that.

His strategy is to go into a life raft off of the Supertanker with his golden parachute and watch it sink.

Why is Costco filled with AMD Ryzen and Qualcomm Snapdragon. Homeowners and students do not need Intel anymore. The cell phone is used for most daily tasks now and Intel has zero fu---n market share in phones thanks to Otellini.

Good. His strategy kept bringing on more water to the Supertanker. Nivida CPUs will hit it with more torpedos.
