Quiet Quitting

Who all is quietly quitting and how’s that going? If we all collectively did this, what would that look like and can you think of any negative implications? There are several already maintaining a second job while ignoring the chaos going on in MS, maybe more of us should consider that option.

Quiet quitting can look different from person to person. Half the company has already mentally checked out and are just clocking in, but not putting much effort in anymore. That's one way to mentally quietly quit. Others have already left because they had a fall back position while working at MS and just didn't tell many they were working multiple positions. It isn't unusual considering what the company is putting everyone through that people just simply don't care anymore and have checked out and just collecting paychecks at this point. I don't think it's too far fetched that quiet quitting is a thing.

Is the best revenge you could think of to take out on the company?!..honestly I'm wondering if someone from HR or management is fishing on this website and wrote this stupid post. Really...quiet quitting????? Boy you really are showing them....Gee let's organize a sit in protest at the office while we are at it....

Grow up and quit reading the latest trends on yahoo....quiet quitting...SMH. STUPID!!

Quiet quitting isn’t something that should be organized or this big mass planned thing. If that’s what you want to do then do. The company has let down our employees, doesn’t care about our people, and the execs laugh and joke during meetings while people are wondering if they’ll be able to pay their mortgage in a couple of months. It’s the worst thing I ever imagined in a workplace. Do any of the execs even have morals? All I can say is while you quiet quit look for another job and get out when you can.

I think that already has been the case for many who had been working 2 positions and just didn't say that's what they had been doing. No one would have really known who was working another position. They had a fallback position and probably have already left MS.

Honestly, most probably would have picked up another position after the first Oct 2023 layoff and just coasted MS until either they were laid off or decided to abandon ship. I knew a few that did that within my department just to make sure they were covered after the uncertainty of the first layoff in 2023.
