Thread regarding Southern New Hampshire Unversity layoffs

60 employees laid off today

The employees received a robotic email from Lisa
No sincerity, no video, no meeting and no real explanation as to why they were laid off.

These Karens prioritize their own comfort zones and feelings, are held to lower standards, and then become cinder blocks attached to the ankles of their subordinates who get taken down as a result.

Given the amount that SNHU pays to outside consultants like Deloitte and Accenture ($50+ million last year alone), it's no wonder that layoffs seem to be the new normal. Add to that, more than $60 million to Google for paid advertising and excessive leadership salaries. As a non-profit, SNHU's tax returns are publicly available and include $$ paid to outside consultants, vendors and highest-paid employees: https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/20274509/202511359349303076/full

Former ITS person here. I don't know about you guys, but my team was hearing from UM in monthly meetings about keeping the lights on, particularly from BC, for at least a year before the layoffs started. On the heels of one of these meetings CF was requesting that we look into purchasing these expensive specialty devices for UM ITS members. I guess the lights aren't that important to her.

I was affected as part of rolling layoffs when Lisa started. I was constantly told by leadership that my team "not to worry," and the school was in a good financial position. The CFO echoed this for nearly a year in leadership meetings. The irony was that they were undergoing a new mission, vision, and values which focused on putting people first. So much for that!

I had team members whose spouses were let go. Some good people were let go while poor managers are allowed to stay.

Lisa does not put people first and her appointment is a massive stain on SNHU’s legacy.
