Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

IDM and IFS and nationalism is not a strategy

x86 has gone the way of the mainframe and minicomputer and almost laughable the company the blew up the mainframe, minicomputer got blown up the same way.

Old days of x86 growth guaranteed turns business and growing was when we printed money. Invested and built fabs and be sure it would be filled.

Today AMD makes a competitive to superior part in x86.

Apple makes a superior mobile CPU

AMD and Nvidia are superior in graphics.

Qualcomm and others superior as well I. Their niche.

Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Tesla all going custom as the competitive business isn’t a higher performance scales piece of silicon but a custom integrated silicon is the competitive advantage. An IDM has no advantage here and Intel is no foundry of scale or competitiveness.

All the major IC companies and system houses have access to better PPAC and larger and more efficient fabs to make their designs faster, cheaper and better TTM than Intel can provide

FUBAR and why Intel’s only only strategy is a survival play is on onshore and politics as they have no other competitive future as either IDM or Foundry.

Pat, ELT, and BoD are fools to think this will fly. The future is either a company like ending Lockheed Martin who relies on low volume defense work. As high volume things that make money for companies like Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm and others fundamentally don’t reside under the same roof as those for national security. It will be a sad ending for the world if it does, is that the angel Pat and BOD and we think is coming.?

The fact that you said AMD makes a "superior part in x86" shows your supreme lack of knowledge. Please exit parents basement. The end.

That's a lot of words. Couldn't make any particular sense of them, nor what it has to do with layoffs and/or 'nationalism'.
