Thread regarding Avalara layoffs

I was let go 2 weeks ago. Apparently, a bunch of people were underperforming, with vague or non existent goals. I heard it was at least 40-45 in marketing alone. These have been going on for over a year. All in the name of cost savings and shipping jobs to low cost countries. Half the revenue operations leadership has left in the past year, so that’ll be great!
