I’m seriously asking. It’s always just babble.

The main purpose of Town Halls is to create an illusion that the leadership is doing some work. That’s it.
It's why I stopped going to them years ago. Didn't learn anything from them that either I didn't already know or the information didn't affect me.
I'd rather have the 30-60 minutes to actually get something done. if I did miss something, I'll hear about it in a day or two.
Not just babble, but the same babble. Every. Damn. Time.
Maybe they should stop calling it a Town Hall and just say “executive monologue with slides.” They talk at us, not with us, and every time I think we might get real answers, it’s just corporate spin and vague cheerleading. If it’s supposed to build transparency and connection, it’s missing the mark by a mile. I’d respect it more if they admitted it’s just for optics.
Leadership loves to yap. Makes them feel like they are important and deserving of the 7 figure compensations. You could tell yesterday that Doug is a very experienced yapper. I can see why he got the job. He had people buying in almost immediately. Much more effective than Bill.
