I worked closely with Supply chain department and I have observed that it one group full of managers who acted in self interest and with extreme rivalry. They never bothered to think about what is best for Intel.
Self-interest is good to some extent but the level of toxicity displayed lead to major degradations in service and it never recovered.
They won't fix it, because companies like Accenture don't fix anything, they simply collect money for bullsh-t reports. However, fixing sales and marketing shouldn't be that difficult: just hire people who want to work. I remember one of the quarterly updates that the white sneakers guy gave in which he said something like "there's nothing we can do if engineering doesn't give us products that sell themselves" . What??? What do these people do? Not sorry for them to go away. Marketing, sales, legal, finance,..., good bye; this is an engineering company (or should be).
As all the fearless Supply Chain leaders have said time and time again… “Intel’s best days are ahead”. LOL!!
Get used to it, this is the new norm. Intel is moving away from BB to contingent/GB workforce. The best qualified candidates to be hired by the contracting companies are former Intel employees who already know how Intel works. They won't be able to be dead weight any longer because Intel can drop them just by contacting the contracting company.
Hope they are not double dipping the paycheck! 😐
the only thing accenture fixes is their own balance sheet
