Everything feels like it’s falling apart—fires, floods, systems breaking down—and yet somehow we’re still expected to clock in like none of it’s happening. We sit in Zoom calls pretending to care about charts and sales goals while the world outside gets weirder and more unstable by the day. Wages are stuck, nobody’s listening when we ask for remote flexibility, and everyone’s exhausted. But we keep showing up, keep putting on that fake work face, like everything’s fine. It’s surreal.

@e1+1jy4tta9z - Le Schwab? Is that the French tire guy?
This is 100% disgruntled and actively disengaged replies/ with a post from someone not even from Schwab.
All large companies experience growth pains like this. We are also very risk adverse. Are there terrible leaders that are not there for their teams? Yes. Could Schwab take a closer look into these leaders and engagement results? Yes. Will they? Probably not. :). Life will go on.
People use Zoom as a verb or adjective to refer to virtual calls generally. I'm guessing they feel that saying Teams is a bit more awkward and confusing conversationally: "Teams call" (you had a call with your team?). And by the way, a lot of vendors that work with Schwab do send meeting invites via Zoom, so it's not like Zoom is so totally out of the question.
You must work at Le Schwab and make tires, because we don't hold firm business meetings using Zoom here.
Zoom?!
Everything written was true years ago. It ebbs, but consistent. Until humans remove the nonsense of political, religious, and racial divisions and adopt one planet thinking we are doomed. But we've been doomed since the beginning. It's how kings and emperors keep the masses in line.
@b0 our executives are doing well not us
It's crazy how they don't listen to us. I'm tired of giving feedback when they dont do anything except their own agenda. I quit going to town halls, roundtables, and participating in surveys. Complete waste of time
Yes, it’s sad… So many asleep people that work at Schwab, especially the leadership who are completely out of touch with their reports. Reference Schwab‘s falling in rank and the best places to work survey. Also the GLINT survey always has the leadership questions scoring the worst, but nothing changes except to continue with in flexibility and ignoring the low morale of the employees, especially the Frontline workers in CS&S.
Anyone that’s gone through an awakening process will find it difficult to deal with these people and to work in a corporate environment.
stock is at 90, supplemental borrowing reduced over 60B. Schwab is doing well, be happy.
You use zoom?
