• california, new york and pennsylvania will lose the most stores...

• they started with 2,000 stores in 2023, now down to 1,240
• ceo says they're looking for buyers but facing tough times
• experts say the first bankruptcy didn't fix their real problems
• stores have been struggling to keep basic products on shelves...
• cvs already bought 64 rite aid locations in three states
• walgreens is taking over prescription files from nine states
• other pharmacy chains are "cherry picking" the best locations
• customers can transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies
• the company cut debt from $4 billion to $2 billion last year
• bankruptcy filing doesn't say if they'll shut down completely!!
