Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

More Joker Play at hand

Lots of more insanity at DS today. Just when you thought micromanaging, brow beating, and over-riding wasnt possible just look out DS as the engines have reved up and there will be a drive to the finish like never seen before. Get some sleep and eat your veggies as this will be the longest 3.5 months of your career starting now!

@5fj You are proving that DEI is racist by definition and morally bankrupt to its rotten core. Hopefully, this bad idea dies and gets relegated to the history books alongside eugenics and segregation.

@4fk wrong - i am just sick to death of white men whining when they have been the controlling majority for the life of the company - you don't know me or you'd know i know what i'm talking about. Now go back to mama's basement and put on your trump gear and buy some more of his bitcoin and trading cards - don't forget the sneakers!

MMS-Pharmacy Automation leadership is ridiculous. BD should have kept the Parata team members in place with their knowledge and experience and not over-ruled and put all the BD folks from other divisions in place. Few current leaders understand the business or the customer. They keep promoting friends from other divisions who also have limited business understanding. It's truly a joke with weak leaders being multiplied by the month. Meetings and focus is all about slides and talking about how great we are which according to current revenue numbers is just not working. Let us see what happens next.

@2c2 this is THE best assessment of what is wrong with BD. It is painful to see such a beautiful company is getting ruined by some incompetent nincompoops. Kick them out, this company will thrive.

@29h

That’s because we have weak leadership. Weak leaders always choose someone who is weaker compared to them, that happens due to their own insecurity. If Tom was a strong leader, we would have a better CIO, someone who understands technology. But, instead we got someone DEI. There are very few people in BD who can justify their title and salary.

@27r how come outsourcing impacted the quality of BD folks, I was referring to extremely poor quality people at strategic positions.

Not just at DS. Many depts are having to keep track of work and log activities...bet another rebranding to Genpact is coming...I sure hope it's soon and hope they offer up early retirement as well.

@25w The last time BD was a great company was prior to and including 2015. Then leadership and the direction of the business changed. They started the outsourcing or laying off the people who knew their jobs and how work was done in BD. And they embraced growth by Aquisition.

When was the last time BD was actually a good company? I’m asking because I’ve noticed a lot of underqualified people who’ve been here for over a decade, which suggests the decline started at least 10 years ago but Covid gave some opportunity to make some profit.

I’m working two hours a day at max. Only come in a couple times a week. Nobody cares and nobody is paying attention. Can’t wait to get laid off so I can work somewhere that isn’t so pathetic.
